The Mountain Tour<\/em> is a unique opportunity to ride with J\u00f3hann Fridgeirsson<\/em> along the old horse trail through the valleys, starting in Hofs\u00f3s<\/em> and going all the way over to Dalvik.<\/em> There will definately be many good old stories told this week!<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_slide][\/et_pb_slider][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row column_structure=”3_5,2_5″ _builder_version=”4.16″ global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”3_5″ _builder_version=”4.16″ global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.22.1″ text_font_size_tablet=”14px” text_font_size_phone=”14px” text_font_size_last_edited=”on|tablet” global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n Transfer Reykjavik (BSI bus station) – Hofs\u00f3s is included, as well as accommodation and dinner every night. 5 riding days. Please note that for this tour you need to be in good phsyical shape and be prepared to walk along with your horse for a brief part over the mountain, if necessary.<\/em><\/p>\n PARTICIPANTS:<\/strong> <\/span>Maximum 12 Day 1:<\/strong><\/span> Pick up from BSI Coach Station in Reykjavik at 12.00 noon for transfer to Hofs\u00f3s.<\/em>\u00a0Make sure your flight arrives in the morning and allow at least 1 hour transfer from the airport – or arrive a day early and spend a day in Day 2:<\/strong><\/span> We leave Hofs\u00f3s<\/em> on horseback around 10:00, and head for Kolbeinsdalur,<\/em> 30 km. After a days good riding in a beautiful landscape we leave our horses at Fjall,<\/em> and are taken back to Hofs\u00f3s<\/em> by bus for dinner and maybe a swim in the excellent swimmingpool.<\/p>\n Day 3:<\/strong><\/span> Today we start around 9:00 am and go further into Kolbeinsdalur<\/em>. We continue into Heljardalur<\/em>, where we climb Heljardalsheidi up to 840 m above sealevel. From there we go on into Svarfadardalur<\/em>, which is where J\u00f3hann grew up. We leave the free running horses at a farm, and continue with our riding horses to another farm, where we will have dinner and stay for the night.\u00a0<\/p>\n Day 4:<\/strong><\/span> Today we will be riding around in beautiful Svarfadardalur<\/em>, where J\u00f3hann started his life on horseback, and founded his love for and knowledge about the horse. After a beautiful day in the valley we go back.<\/span><\/p>\n Day 5:<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 Now we will be returning to collect the free running horses and then we go back through Svarfadardalur,<\/em> through Heljardalur<\/em> and Kolbeinsdalur<\/em>, 30 km. We leave the horses at Fjall,<\/em> and are taken back to Hofs\u00f3s<\/em> by bus for dinner.<\/p>\n Day 6:<\/strong> <\/span>The bus will take us to Fjall<\/em> at 9:30. Today is our final riding day, going through the\u00a0magic valley back to Hofs\u00f3s,<\/em> 30 km.
